Red is the favourite Chinese colour, and means something
It is almost like blue in the West, the major colour, the
tone of respectability, honour, success, and all around favourite.
I would not say it means passion, anger, wild energy, as
it does to us, though still very loved as a colour.
In all societies it is a festive colour, for celebrations
and holidays and rituals.
