Arielle Gabriel is still alive and kicking.
She is a visual artist, lyrical writer, and Celtic musician.
presently working as an ESL teacher in Asia, and misses bookstores, Hollywood movies, bathtubs, and various people.
She misses her homeland: walking down the back streets
of Montreal, coffee on Rue Bernard, spinach pies on Avenue Parc, pitchers of beer at The Peel Pub, the first snowfall, cheese
trays, heart-to-heart talks with friends, Christmas tree decorating, multi-culturalism, and dinners with relatives on
Rue Prince Arthur.
However, the Internet is an important way to communicate
with people of all countries, to share and learn from other lands even as we miss our own. The New Internationalism is both
stressful and necessary.
When she leaves Asia, she realizes that there are many
wonderful facets of life here that she too will miss.
